Pros
  • Lots of individualisation and ease of use
  • RGB lighting that impresses all along the line
  • One of the most comfortable mice to use
  • Packed with features

When announcing their flagship gaming mouse Spatha, Asus surprised. Anyone who thinks the name sounds aggressive should take a look at the mouse itself.

The Spatha belongs to Asus’ top class ROG (Republic of Gamers), of course. Therefore, it is clear that you get a powerful gaming mouse that is equipped with all kinds of functions. It offers additional buttons, RGB effects that even connect to other ROG brand products like motherboards, graphic cards and even Asus’ gaming keyboard.

First of all, we would like to point out that the Spatha is more than just a gaming mouse. From a design point of view, it is a real highlight. Asus’ choice to use magnesium alloy instead of traditional materials gives this gaming mouse a unique quality. Unfortunately, it made this mouse a bit heavier than the competition and the price was correspondingly more expensive.

From a technical point of view, buying the Asus Spata gives you a gaming mouse that uses RGB lights and 12 programmable buttons that can be programmed according to your needs using the Asus Armoury software. A maximum DPI of 8200 and the possibility to use the mouse corded or wireless. The gaming mouse impresses with amazing ergonomics and comfort for long gaming sessions. The main buttons use Omron switches designed for a high typing cycle, and even when they wear out, they can be removed and replaced.

The ROG Spatha is not the perfect gaming mouse, it also has some weaknesses. The buttons on the side feel a bit too fragile, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less powerful. And so we can point out some of the advantages and disadvantages of this mouse.
